OLI D’ITALIA 2020 by GAMBERO ROSSO: AN IMPORTANT AWARD TO THE BEST ITALIAN EXTRA-VIRGIN OLIVE OILS.
Since 2010, Gambero Rosso has been publishing a guide dedicated to the world of the best Italian extra virgin olive oils in which all the regions of Italy are represented, with the exception of the Valle d’ Aosta and the Autonomous Province of Bolzano. The guide assigns an award represented by the number of “leaves”: between 1 and 3 to the best extra virgin olive oils.
Gambero Rosso is an Italian food and wine magazine and publishing group founded in 1986. Its name literally translates as “red prawn” .
In this 2020 the guide reached the 20 years of history, and our extra-virgin organic olive oil in this special year had the pleasure of being awarded among the 448 companies and 750 oils that participated, receiving 3 leaves, which represent the maximum expression of Made in Italy olive oil.
The selection criteria are:
– Italian quality and origin of the olives, absence of defects, organoleptic evaluation
– minimum quantity of total annual production 10 quintals of oil
– possibility to present a maximum of 3 different labels (bottles), each in 3 copies of 0.5 lt.
